| Welcome to Forest Park PTA Website! |
Dear Forest Park Parents,
Forest Park PTA board welcomes all parents and students. We also extend a warm welcome to
our new principal Guillermo Gomez and our wonderful teaching staff. Hope you all had a great
summer.
Right after summer, it was very exciting to learn that this year School Digger ranks Forest Park
Elementary 8th of 5188 California public elementary schools! This is a great evidence of a
wonderful school and parent support for the students.
Every child's first school is his/her home and parents are their first teachers. An involved and a
well informed parent makes that experience an enriched one. Forest Park Elementary PTA
community is a very active one and it gives me great pleasure to be part of that community.
Becoming a PTA member is a way to be involved with the activities of the PTA. The PTA offers
programs that enable your children academically and socially, with a focus on health and fitness.
Join the PTA today and become a member of the biggest membership organization in the state of
California that works solely for your children.
I would like to bring your attention to PTA's biggest fundraiser, Jumpstart. Year after year Forest
Park PTA has given 70% of funds from Jumpstart right back to your child's classroom. Of the
remaining 30%, we were able to fund field trips for all children in the school across all grade
levels, fund programs like Science Night and FAME-ous to name a few. Please contribute to the
Jumpstart program to help your child's classroom and help the PTA fund exciting programs for
students this year.

the next school year. Forest Park has a tradition of a very involved and hardworking PTA board
that strives to make a positive impact on every student.
Please help continue that tradition by nominating yourself for a position on the Forest Park
PTA board for the 2012-2013 school year. Use the form attached or that was sent home in the
Friday folders and turn in your nomination before Monday, 2nd of April. Elections will be held
during the April PTA meeting.
