PTA Fundraising Programs
How do we raise funds?
Unfortunately, California schools are not funded well enough to cover all the programs, supplies or activities we would like to provide
for ALL our children. Although the state had increased the school funding in the last couple years, that trend has reversed due to a
downturn in the economy and we are facing very tight school budgets. California has the largest student population in the nation,
with the most diverse needs, yet we are 46th in the nation in per pupil funding. The PTA tries to help by raising funds in a variety of
ways listed below:
JumpStart
Would you like to help support the PTA but don't have the time to participate in traditional fundraisers? Are you interested in
supporting the PTA without purchasing fundraiser merchandise? If so, please consider participating in JumpStart.
JumpStart is our biggest fundraiser of the year where we ask families to donate $75 or more per child. 70% of the total contribution
goes to the students classroom and the remaining 30% is used by PTA to support numerous programs throughout the school year.

"Give Back For Free" programs
How many of you have had to do a quick run to the local Lucky store on Fremont Boulevard or Safeway in Newark to pick up last-
minute groceries? Well, let’s make sure that quick run translates to a dollar or two for Forest Park PTA! Parents, friends and families
can earn cash for Forest Park PTA simply by using their grocery loyalty cards from Safeway, Luckys, FoodMaxx etc, retail cards
from Macy's or credit cards from Visa, Master Card and American Express. To learn more, click here.
E-Money programs
Do your holiday, gift giving and everyday shopping online at the Forest Park PTA's Amazon aStore or any of your favorite online
